The Institute of Research and Study of the Hellenistic Period - "Ινστιτούτο Έρευνας και Μελέτης της Ελληνιστικής Εποχής" - with distinctive title TOLMI (ΤΟΛΜΗ) is a non-profit Institute.

 

     In particular, its aims are:

The purpose of the Institute is purely spiritual, cultural, educational and informative.
   - The aid for the research, study, maintenance and restoration as long as it can be carried out after a report by the expert scientists, the rescue and the completion of the excavation work of the Greek Monument that has been found by the Greek Mission under the direction of Archaeologist Liana Souvaltzi at El Maraki of Siwa Oasis of Egypt during the period 1989-1996.
   - The organization of educational and scientific lectures, international conferences, screenings.

   - The publication of anecdotal works of the Hellenistic period.
   - The aid for the study in Libraries, Museums and Archaeological Sites inside and outside of Greece in matters concerning the Hellenistic period and research in countries where Greek civilization was spread by Alexander the Great, his successors and his descendants and are unknown.
   - The organization of study cycles (seminars) and cultural events of all types​.

   - Learning the history of the Hellenistic period online (distance learning) for high school and high school children and with visits to Museums and Archaeological Sites dating back to the Hellenistic period.
   - The creation of seminars, workshops, two-day conferences and conferences in Greece and in the Countries where Greek Culture spread during the Hellenistic Period.
   - The research and study of all the elements that have been lost in the centuries covered by the Hellenistic Period (323-31 BC) within the Greek Territory and outside it. These items concern Education, Inventions and Sciences: Anthropology, Archaeology, Astronomy, Geology, Language, Medicine, History, Mathematics, Music, Law, Poetry, Rhetoric, Art, Philosophy, Physics, Social Life, Folklore, Cultural Life , Rural life, Animal husbandry, Trade, Transportation, Seafaring.
   - The help for finding, labeling and classifying all kinds of written and oral memory, concerning the Hellenistic Period.
   - The aid for excavation research in the countries where Greek Civilization spread from Alexander the Great and his successors until the rise of Roman Civilization (323-31 BC).
   - The strengthening of relations and the cooperation in the scientific field of the peoples connected with the Hellenistic Period and the comparative study of it with these peoples.
   - The organization of excursions of special scientific interest within Greece and outside it.
   - The transfer of scientists and other experts as well as the organization of cultural exchanges.
   - The publication of forms (books, magazines, newspapers, historical and archaeological guides, etc.) as well as sound and image carriers.
